Managing Director

Hamish is your first port of call for new projects and is always eager to chat about the latest inside track. Having founded HRA in 2011, he has almost 20 years of client-side commercial experience with 7 years spent on the board of large PLCs. He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), a Professional Certified Member of the Market Research Society (MRS), and official CIM Ambassador to the food and drink sector. Part enthusiastic entrepreneur, part avid cyclist, & chiefly, office kefir and kombucha brewer.

Fav dish: Poached eggs on sourdough with olive oil, salmon, and salad.

Bucket list: Compete in the Ironman triathlon, Hawaii.

Senior Consultant

Since joining the team in 2014, Kim has established herself as a Senior Consultant at HRA. Managing projects as diverse as onshoring to marketing and branding, Kim’s capabilities stretch from market research to classic consultancy. Kim is equipped with a degree from Durham and an MRS accreditation. Concise and intelligent, Kim is an eloquent interpreter and analyser, brimming with strategic insight and category expertise.

Finance & Office Manager

Emily manages our accounts here at HRA with a perceptive initiative that keeps us going from project to project efficiently. With 15 years’ financial experience, she oversees both finances and the office. Quite frankly, we don’t know what we’d do without her. A trainee sourdough maker, she fills our office with her practical food and drink expertise every lunchtime.

Project Delivery Manager - Research/Co-man

Jess joined us in 2020 having graduated from the University of Exeter with a first-class degree in Psychology. Since then she has developed her professional skillset by achieving the MRS Advanced Certificate in Market and Social Research. Her specialisms span from market research to strategy consulting all of which she approaches with a keen critical eye and analytical perspective. With a passion for food and drink, Jess is a subject matter expert and is ever keen to provide top quality insights and strategic expertise that will drive effective decision making.

Favourite snack: Dark chocolate covered rice cakes

Biggest non-professional achievement: Being Founder of Wednesday morning Porridge Club

Project Delivery Director

With an honours degree in business management and a CIM diploma to boot, Ellen brings two decades of experience in elevating organisations and brands across numerous sectors. Ellen’s passion for organisation growth, enhancing value propositions, developing new products, and creating effective brand and communication strategies is unparalleled. She works tirelessly with her team to bring out the best in every project, ensuring a seamless delivery every time. Her attention to detail, ability to think outside the box, and commitment to delivering results are unmatched. Trust us; you won’t find a better project delivery pro than Ellen.

Mad fact: I had a roll top bath in my garden during lockdown so I could cold dip!

Client Services Director

Rozz has over 30 years of brand and marketing consultancy experience. She has worked in London for some of the top Advertising Agencies, has lead marketing departments for some serious national brands, headed up her own organisational development and brand consultancy; and most recently spent 5 years overseeing reputation management, recruitment and engagement for a top Further Education College in the Southwest. She is also a leadership and management coach and mentor and has a passion for nurturing and developing talent and encouraging individuals and businesses to grow and prosper.

Favourite foods: anything Italian or Thai

Favourite holidays: anywhere with my family, particularly skiing in Austria or relaxing in Tuscany

Bucket List: having trekked the Tour du Mont Blanc in 2022 the bucket list includes any of the world’s Great Routes (GR20 in Corsica is probably next)


Project Delivery Manager - Technical/NPD

Louise comes from a NPD/Innovation background with 7 years’ experience working with a range of different food & drink brands, including KFC & Krispy Kreme. She has a successful track record in delivering large-scale complex projects and utilises her food technology specialism into supporting product and recipe development.  Holding a degree in Food Science from Nottingham University, she combines academic knowledge with hands on experience to drive innovation and bring products to life.

Favourite food: Laksa spicy Malaysian noodle soup

Bucket list: Trek to Everest Base Camp

Favourite Movie: Pearl Harbour


Accounts Development Manager

Steph comes from an Events Management and Activation background.

She has worked for various food and drink brands within their marketing department, being involved in organising large scaled public events and conferences for various stakeholders.

She enjoys building strong and meaningful relationships and prides herself in her planning and organisation.

Fave Food: A Boujee brunch, sourdough, mushrooms, poached eggs, throw some kale in and a side of halloumi. Topped with a nice flat white coffee. Bonus if it was after a nice coastal walk….

Bucket List: Take part in a novice triathlon and to get back to painting and remember her artistic flair!

Hidden Talent: Getting the whole team of HRA to attend our weekly cold sea dip 😉



Karen has over 40 years of customer service and executive level admin support.  No Batchelor’s or Master’s degrees to see here just a good old City & Guilds in Hotel Reception! Starting as a receptionist at the age of 17 in a top 4* central Bristol hotel, she went on to be offered great opportunities within various business sectors, in particular both national and local independent house builders, where she utilised her passion for quality customer service. The financial crash of 2008, and the intermediate decline in construction, led Karen to a whole new world at the UK’s largest dairy cooperative, firstly as the Office Manager and then executive PA, culminating in 2013 when she started her own virtual PA business.

Fun fact: She has different coloured eyes

Favourite foods: Anything Italian or Thai (Rozz and Karen need a night out!)

Bucket list: More holidays! Cruises especially, but ideally wants to hire a luxury motorhome and travel Europe with her loved one (Bentley the Flat Coated Retriever) and obviously hubby too!

Lunchtime swim club

We’re based a stone’s throw from a beach with a beautifully clear swim spot, and after encouragement from our resident professional wild swimmer Steph, so began our weekly swim club.

People ‘dip’ in an out when they want, with some more fair weather swimmers than others!
