The Challenge
Lazy Vegan is an innovative brand comprising frozen ready meal products, hailing from the Netherlands. With its signature source of protein “Pulled Peaz”, Lazy Vegan saw a gap in the UK vegan market for alternative meat replacers. To explore the UK as a potential option for exploration and growth, the business needed guidance and support to breach the gap between our two countries. Therefore, we applied our exporting to the UK knowledge and vegan expertise.
The Strategy
We closely advised a twin-track route to market – firstly offering a single forward-thinking retailer exclusive rights to the product in exchange for FMCG marketing and commercial support, whilst also targeting the health store and online channels with a broader offering.
This worked very well, securing a listing within a matter of weeks, and we supported the brand with a market research project, advice on market entry, and helped manage the relationship with the multiple retailer.
